Goal

The goal of this special interest group is to get real world data and community feedback on the implementation of ODS v3.1 model changes in the Ed-Fi Dashboards v3.0. The upgrades for the Ed-Fi Dashboards v3.0 (Latest) were focused on ODS v3.1 compatibility, but some model changes introduced flexibility that hasn't been fully addressed in the current dashboards. The following are the areas of interest where we need real world data and feedback from this group, to inform final changes before the public release:

  • School calendar and section key updates
  • Identifying migration issues encountered during implementations

Note: Participants in the Dashboards v3.0 Early Adopters Program should have plans in place to deploy Ed-Fi Dashboards v3.0 in the 2019 calendar year, which includes sourcing data into an ODS/API v3.x

Update (May 13th, 2019): To date we have not identified implementations who are moving to Ed-Fi Suite 3 in the 19/20 school year that need Ed-Fi Dashboards, and therefore don't have the ability to get real-world feedback. Given this, we are deferring starting up SIG meetings until we have at least a couple of implementations moving into an phase where they can do real-word testing with the codebase, and provide feedback. Please contact chris.moffatt@ed-fi.org if you need additional information, or are ready to start testing with  Ed-Fi Dashboards v3.0 (Latest).
