- Review the Ed-Fi release cadence (Eric)
- This came out of our last meeting where we reviewed the ODS API roadmap
- Briefly touch on the API Standards SIG that is starting up: https://edfi.atlassian.net/wiki/display/ESIG/API+Standard+SIG+2023
Notes
Release cadence discussion
- Look at 5 year horizon and there is really a 3/2 cadence in terms of years of support for agencies, not a 3/3 year path. T – and generally an agency-based view --his should be highlighted.
- Also need to clarify that agencies can retail a Data Standard version longer
- While EOL makes sense, can repo scanning for security vulnerabilities be scanning longer – maybe another 1 to 2 years
Assessment coordination
- Offer to help with the data mapping, via their product teams
- Scope of data we are asking for – we should develop a specific ask of the MSPs via the SIG before we approach
- The framing
- Should not emphasize analytics, as that implies we are trying to do their jobs, when the reality is to combine data in ways that benefit everyone.
- Instead emphasize SEA RFP demand – more of this is coming; cite examples.
- Maybe use simpler use cases – i.e., scores on report cards? The SIG was interested but uncertain on this point
