Interventions
Description:
Actor:Teachers, instructional leaders, and school/district administrators
Current State: Teachers, instructional leaders, and administrators are often required to assign interventions to students who are struggling in one or more areas. Currently, the only way that these users (in our pilot) have to track interventions is through manual data entry and management in google sheets. Teachers and RTI/MTSS coordinators are most interested in knowing whether their individual students are making progress (and thus whether they can move on to the next level or should try another intervention with that student), whereas administrators are often more interested in knowing whether a certain type of intervention is helping students on a more aggregate level (in order to better choose interventions to use). With the Ed-Fi dashboard plugin, they will now be able to create interventions and add students to them, tracking their progress with the same data available in the dashboard.
Future State: Teachers, instructional leaders, and administrators would be able to incorporate the current intervention plugin functionality with additional interactivity–e.g., the ability to color-code and tag students, enter local data points (e.g., fluency checks).
