Administrative Tooling Work Group

Overview

The Administrative Tooling Work Group (ATWG) is a monthly meeting to discuss needs, field experiences and roadmap proposals for operationalizing the Ed-Fi technology stack, in service of at-scale, high-impact ESA and state-level implementations to improve classroom outcomes by promoting data interoperability. Ed-Fi currently produces administrative tooling with software deliverables, like Admin API and API Publisher, that enable and manage large operations for large-scale deployments of Ed-Fi ODS / API instances.

The Administrative Tooling Work Group will convene monthly, starting in August 2024. We will meet to learn about today’s implementation issues and future needs in running Ed-Fi technology at-scale. Many of today’s Ed-Fi implementations run multiple instance and tenant modes, which enables better education data utilization at ESCs and state-level projects for various high-impact use cases. We’ll discuss tools like Admin API and API Publisher to understand what’s working and develop new roadmap items for these active Ed-Fi releases. We’ll continue to discuss other topics at the working group prompts and highlights from field implementations to inform and enhance our deployment plans and roadmaps.

Scope
