Notes on TAG decisions in last 12 months

  • Standardization vs self-service are in tension

  • De-emphasize data standard in favor of API standards; conceptual model is not helpful

    • Need to dig into this more – need to think carefully about API interfaces

  • Questions on breaking API up into components

    • Did this include breaking down into composites? No - this dis not include development of new custom APIs

    • Did this include breaking API at an implementation level?  Yes this is in scope – attendance may need to scale differently.

  • API-first as a priority? Yes, some progress here - see new AMT. Are there other ways to reflect this priroitization?

  • Scalability questions and tooling?

    • Suggestion to expose the tooling for performance testing to community - stay on that track, as reference points for what part of the exchange is slow could be helpful via community-sourcing and benchmarks

  • Other possible focused for TAG

    • How to make integration with vendors easier – maybe a SDK?

    • pub/sub model for the API instead of polling

    • Administrative APIs

    • Add vendor support to roadmap / how to serve need around awareness of vendor integrations
