TAG Meeting 2016-12-07
Participants
- Neal Schuh
- Mark Walls
- Mark Reichert
- Josh Klein
- Geoff McElhanon
- Don Dailey
- Dirk Bradley (MI)
Notes
1.Deployment Benchmarks (continued from November)
Default template from Michigan/TRIG project looked like an acceptable instrument. Few changes suggested:
- Add BulkLoad interchanges used where bulk performance data is imcluded
- Clarify that "processor count" is number of cores
- Clarify on sheet 3 that "build time" is dashboard build time
- AZ performance work might be a model for API performance specs
Action: Eric to distribute to most mature Ed-Fi ODS implementations
Action: MI/Dirk to send out SCOM report to TAG to see if that might be useful (for future discussion)
2. 2017 Roadmap updates
See attached deck. Feedback:
- Alignment with agency cycles makes sense.
- Version number synchronization is a problem
- Technical Congress:
- Stay away from spring break (late March/early April)
- Sooner so it can be booked
- Plug for Midwest given concentration of Ed-Fi
- In future, have implementers host the meeting
3.TAG Changes
Comments:
- MI/TRIG is an example of a collaborative that is more formal and prepared to represent itself - is there a way to make sure these needs are represented?
- Clarification that the division of vendors into integrators and product vendors is still part of the plan
