Notes

Roadmap feedback

A question was asked on of the assessment n-1 shim would be possible with other APIs. The answer was probably not (it was out of scope), but this was an opportunity to learn about possible future n-1 API support by doing.

Rules engine

Project to research community practices and needs, and possible open source rules engines was presented.  A few points from the discussion.

  • This research will take up the proposed idea of a "validations API" and a standard structure for validation error messages that was proposed at the 2018 Technical Congress
  • This is an area where SEAs have been leading, so ensure LEA needs are researched and included.
  • What versions is this API looking at? Version is not part of the project yet. Thinking is the research is more general at this point and would apply to all versions.

Record Level Ownership SIG outcomes were reviewed, as were the incoming goals of the AWG Technical Subgroup. Enumerations agenda item was not discussed.
