Process
The Ed-Fi Alliance publishes an annual call for Ed-Fi Technical Advisory Group (TAG) applications. This call will be published through standard Ed-Fi Alliance communication channels (such as the Ed-Fi newsletter, website, and so forth).
The Alliance will review applications and appoint members from the Ed-Fi community. Applications will not be made public by the Alliance.
The application invites interested organizations to highlight their expertise and work. The Alliance may consider other information in reviewing applications as well. The purpose of the application is to ensure that any community member may apply, and that there is a clear way for applicants to document their past participation in and contributions to the community.
Application Sections
The application asks for information relevant to the values of the Ed-Fi community, including but not limited to:
- Commitment. The organization has deployed and/or relies on Ed-Fi standards and technology in its operations or business.
- Contribution. The organization contributes code and technical artifacts to the Ed-Fi community.
- Expertise. The organization has developed expertise in the Ed-Fi technology and in domains of knowledge important to the Ed-Fi mission, and shares knowledge with the community.
- Stewardship. The organization stays up-to-date with the latest versions of the Ed-Fi standards and technology, and observes community principles around technology contributions and governance.
- Advocacy. The organization advocates for Ed-Fi technology and community to its peers and other organizations.
