The Ed-Fi “Classic Dashboards” are no longer supported through the Ed-Fi Alliance. You can still receive support and maintenance through the Ed-Fi vendor community. Please look at any of the vendors’ dashboard solutions on the Registry of Ed-Fi Badges or the Ed-Fi Starter Kits if you are looking for a visualization solution to use with the Ed-Fi ODS. This documentation will remain available to assist existing Classic Dashboard implementers.

The Ed-Fi Dashboards are distributed with a Metric Configuration Tool that provides analysts, developers, and administrators the ability to configure various metrics without custom programming. This documentation describes concepts and how-to information related to the Metric Configuration Tool.

Prerequisites

The Metric Configuration Tool is a component of the Ed-Fi Dashboards. Familiarity with the following technologies is essential to understanding this documentation:

  • Ed-Fi Dashboard v3.0
  • Visual Studio 2010 (Professional Edition or better)
  • Ed-Fi Dashboard ETL Application

At this time the metric configuration tool is only compatible with Chrome web browser. IE throws an error when attempting to import CSV files.
