The Ed-Fi “Classic Dashboards” are no longer supported through the Ed-Fi Alliance. You can still receive support and maintenance through the Ed-Fi vendor community. Please look at any of the vendors’ dashboard solutions on the Registry of Ed-Fi Badges or the Ed-Fi Starter Kits if you are looking for a visualization solution to use with the Ed-Fi ODS. This documentation will remain available to assist existing Classic Dashboard implementers.

Non-State Offenses

Overview

Non-state offenses are relatively minor, often code-of-conduct discipline incidents. As the name implies, these discipline incidences are not serious enough to merit reporting to the state. This means the definition varies by state, but this category of offense includes non-violent actions, minor or first-time harassment, minor classroom disruptions, violation of dress codes, and so forth.

These metrics are complimented by the State Offenses metrics, which, together with Non-State Offense metrics, can provide insight into overall patterns of behavior.
