Docebo Formatting Guidelines

This section outlines style rules that apply to courses that are created in the Docebo learning platform.

General

Title Capitalization

Course, Module, Unit, and Lesson titles all use title case capitalization.

Spacing Around Non-Text Content

Non-text content (images, buttons, etc.) is formatted with a blank space both before and after.

Lesson Headers

The Docebo system-wide style puts the lesson title below the content so as a rule, we always add the title as a header (Heading 1).

Quotes

Block Quotes

Quotes that are long enough to be on their own line are formatted by selecting 'Quote' as the paragraph type. The current default styling for 'Quote' paragraphs is left-justified italics with horizontal lines separating the quote from the body text.

Inline Quotes

Quotes that are inline in a sentence do not get extra formatting unless it is present in the original quote or added for emphasis and noted as such.

Images

Images should not be sized manually. If the image sizing looks warped, check the <img> tag using the source code button in the editor to be sure there is no 'height' or 'width' properties.

Course Description Widget

Every course will need to have the course description widget added so that the course description is viewable after the course is started. The widget is added on the "Training Materials" tab.

Links

Hyperlinks need to be configured to always open in a new window otherwise when the user clicks on a link it will be loaded in the Docebo environment iFrame.
