Installing the ODS/API with TPDM Extensions
With the release of the ODS / API for Suite 3 v5.0.0, The TPDM v0.8 extension is included by default. To install the ODS / API:
- For quick and easy installation on a Windows server, follow the instruction for the /wiki/spaces/TSINSTALL/overview, /wiki/spaces/TSINSTALL/pages/20055497.
- For developer/source code installation, follow the instructions provided here.
To review what is new in TPDM v0.8, see TPDM Model Updates.
The ODS / API will not load TPDM related descriptors or sample data during the installation process. To load sample data or descriptors see the information below.
Loading Sample Data and Descriptors
The ODS / API installation process does not load TPDM related sample data or descriptors, Sample data and descriptors must be loaded post-install using the Client Bulk Load Utility. XML sample data and descriptor definitions for TPDM can be found in the Ed-Fi-TPDM-Extension repository on GitHub. Instructions for loading the TPDM sample data through the Client Bulk Load Utility can be found here.
Loading Descriptors only
The ODS / API installation process does not load TPDM related descriptors, Descriptors must be loaded post-install using the Client Bulk Load Utility. Descriptor definitions for TPDM can be found in the Ed-Fi-TPDM-Extension repository on GitHub. Instructions for loading the TPDM descriptors can be found on the page How To: Load the TPDM Descriptors Using Bulk Load Client Utility
Loading Data in a non-Sandbox environment
The ODS / API installation process assumes that you are creating and loading data into sandbox instances of the ODS. If you plan on loading data into a production environment, this page will assist in creating the api clients, keys and secrets needed to load data into TPDM.
