Downloading the v2.2 XML Data Exchange Material
The technical material comprising the XML Data Exchange Framework is freely available for download on this site.
- The Core XML Schema Definition, Standard Interchange Schema, and a link to sample XML files are available on the Downloads page.
Downloading Other Versions of the Ed-Fi Data Standard XML Data Exchange Material
All versions of the Ed-Fi Data Standard, including previously published versions and RFC material, are contained in a public GitHub repository. The repository is named Ed-Fi-Standard and is managed within the Ed-Fi Alliance organization.
To download and extract the repository archive, follow these steps:
- Navigate to https://github.com/Ed-Fi-Alliance/Ed-Fi-Standard
- The Ed-Fi Data Standard is organized into folders; each folder corresponds to a release version. For this version, find the folder entitled "v2.2"
- Download the repository archive to your local drive using the Download ZIP button.
- Open the ZIP file and extract the contents to a local folder.
- The compressed ZIP file contains an embedded folder named “Ed-Fi-Standard-master” and child folders therein for each Ed-Fi Data Standard release up to the most recent.
