Assessments are defined in the AssessmentMetadata input file as applying to a specific grade level. A StudentAssessment record is generated for each Assessment available for the current grade level of the student being generated.

AdministrationDateRandom date between the DataClock start and end date

SerialNumberAlways "0"

AdministrationLanguageIf the Student's primary language is a language other than English and the Assessment is offered in that same language, the AdministrationLanguage will match that language. Otherwise, the value is set to English.

AdministrationEnvironmentIf the Assessment is a College Entrance Exam, then Testing Center; otherwise Classroom.

ScoreResultA random score between the minimum and maximum value possible for the Assessment PerformanceLevel (described below), based on the student's performance index. A small variation of +/- 5% is introduced so the test score is not necessarily uniform with the student performance index.

StudentReferencePopulated with reference to previously generated student

AssessmentReferencePopulated with reference to previously configured assessment

PerformanceLevel

Students in the bottom quartile according to their Performance Profile have an escalating, random chance to fail, starting at 50%. If the student is chosen to fail, their performance level is chosen from the list of possible failing performance levels for the assessment (i.e. Fail, Well Below Basic, Below Basic) according to the Performance Profile. Otherwise, the performance level is chosen for the list of non-failing performance levels (i.e. Pass, Basic, Proficient, Advanced)
