The goals of the Assessment Work Group (AWG) are to:

  1. Provide a structure for education agencies, vendors and industry thought leaders to discuss Ed-Fi data and technology standards and share feedback with the Ed-Fi Alliance.
  2. Establish venues for AWG members to vet and collaborate around the practices and lessons learned from their use of Ed-Fi in the assessment arena.
  3. Develop and advance ideas (in the form of proposals) for how to improve and/or expand the Ed-Fi data and technology standards to better meet the needs for managing assessment data in education agencies.
Reporting and Visualizations

The Reporting and Visualization Work Group was established to evaluate the needs of the community around reporting and visualization and propose a plan to offer a free toolset — that “lights up” the data standard, as part of Ed-Fi Core, that puts the Alliance resources to the most effective use. The mission of the RVWG is twofold:

  1. Identify the classroom use cases for a reporting and visualization offering with the biggest impact on instructional outcomes.
  2. Provide to the Ed-Fi Alliance a roadmap for the proposed Ed-Fi Core Reporting and Visualization solution.
/wiki/spaces/GOV/pages/20316910/wiki/spaces/GOV/pages/20320735 The Special Education Work Group (SPED-WG) is to enhance the special education community’s engagement in, input into and use of the Ed-Fi data and technology standards.
/wiki/spaces/GOV/pages/20321350The TPDM's main purpose is to represent the perspectives of the teacher preparation community (higher education, SEAs, LEAs, vendors, professional development organizations, and thought leaders) to the Ed-Fi Governance processes with the purpose of making the Ed-Fi data and technology standards more widely adopted and used. The TPDM may make recommendations through the Ed-Fi Governance processes about investment in the Ed-Fi product roadmap and business strategies.
