MetaEd IDE (ATOM) - Version Targeting

This page refers to the ATOM-based IDE, which was replaced with Visual Studio Code in March, 2023. You can find the current version of MetaED IDE using VS Code here: MetaEd IDE User Guide
The Ed-Fi Data Standard has multiple versions and your extensions need to be targeted at the Data Standard and ODS / API versions you are using.
Please consult the ODS / API documentation for information on the version(s) applicable to your project This information is generally found in the "What's New" section of the documentation..
Step 1. Open MetaEd Settings
Click File > Settings.
Step 2. Update the Target Ed-Fi ODS / API Version
Change the drop-down value for "Target Ed-Fi ODS / API Version" to the version required for the project.
Step 3. Confirm the Target Ed-Fi Data Standard Version
Confirm the updated value for "Target Ed-Fi Data Standard Version" is now the correct, corresponding version. Once the Target ODS/API Version is selected, only corresponding Target Data Standard Versions will be available in the drop-down list.
