Assessment Provider SIG

Assessment Provider SIG

Purpose

The Assessment Provider Special Interest Group (SIG) is a collaborative forum for assessment platform vendors and the Ed-Fi Alliance. The SIG provides a space for assessment providers to share feedback on Ed-Fi technology and data standards, align integrations with the Assessment Playbook and Ed-Fi best practices, and participate in the governance of Ed-Fi's assessment certification process. Through open dialogue and shared learning, the SIG helps ensure that Ed-Fi's assessment-related API surfaces and data standard elements meet the real-world needs of vendors and the education agencies they serve.

Goals

  • Provide feedback on Ed-Fi technology and data standards — Surface challenges, gaps, and opportunities related to the assessment-scoped portions of the Ed-Fi Data Standard and APIs.

  • Prioritize high-impact changes — Help the Ed-Fi Alliance identify and prioritize improvements that deliver the most value for assessment integrations.

  • Govern and evolve assessment certification — Contribute to the development and refinement of Ed-Fi's assessment certification process to ensure it aligns with vendor capabilities and field needs.

  • Align integrations with the Assessment Playbook — Promote consistent, high-quality integrations by aligning vendor implementations with the Ed-Fi Assessment Playbook and best practices.

  • Share best practices and lessons learned — Create a peer learning environment where assessment vendors can exchange implementation strategies, patterns, and insights.
