The Ed-Fi “Classic Dashboards” are no longer supported through the Ed-Fi Alliance. You can still receive support and maintenance through the Ed-Fi vendor community. Please look at any of the vendors’ dashboard solutions on the Registry of Ed-Fi Badges or the Ed-Fi Starter Kits if you are looking for a visualization solution to use with the Ed-Fi ODS. This documentation will remain available to assist existing Classic Dashboard implementers.

Overview

Course Grade metrics are a set of related metrics looking at the same underlying information through a different lens. Class Grade metrics provide an overall picture of a student's educational progress and level of achievement. Grades Below Proficiency metrics highlight subject areas that already require active intervention, while Dropping Class Grade metrics identify downward trends regardless of a student's achievement level in order to provide support before active intervention is required.

Course grades are used most often at the secondary levels, whereas subject area grades are most often used at the primary levels.
