This page refers to the ATOM-based IDE, which was replaced with Visual Studio Code in March, 2023. You can find the current version of MetaED IDE using VS Code here: MetaEd IDE User Guide
This documentation contains conceptual material and other useful information for technical personnel using the MetaEd IDE. It describes the various components of the MetaEd framework, and provides the core principles for writing in the MetaEd Domain Specific Language (DSL).
Audience
This documentation is for technical professionals who work with educational database systems, including database administrators and software developers.
Prerequisites
To gain the most benefit from this information, the reader should already be familiar with the following knowledge areas:
- Ed-Fi technologies such as the /wiki/spaces/ODSAPI32/overview and Ed-Fi Data Standard
- The Ed-Fi Extension Framework, which provides guidance on the extension of the Ed-Fi Data Standard and /wiki/spaces/ODSAPI32/pages/27099730.
